Now that I'm getting the hang of writing in HTML & CSS for creating the site, there are a few changes I'm going to make and would be grateful if members could let me know the following info about their browsers and screen size so that I can fit things into the "average" screen size to suit most... Smilie

Myself I'm using a ScreenSize of 1680 x 1050 pixels and use up just over 3 quarters of it when browsing and so everything on the site has been based around this size...

ScreenShot of my browser...
Need Opinions/ Ideas For New Layout... BrowserScreenShot01

I know from the "google analytics" that no-one is viewing the site with a screen size of less than 1024 by XXX pixels, most are actually above this (1024 x XXX and upwards)...

What I would like to know is do you use the entire width of the screen for your browser or like me just part of it, as it will help me making changes to the skin/ layout to know this (just so I can be sure most folk can easily see & read everything)... Smilie

Cheers & Thank You... Drink

Cheers mate... I had been wondering just how other folk were viewing the site as it occurred to me not everyone would be using the same screen resolution as me... (that 27" iMac is a monster... drool.... ) Smilie

One of the good things about not having a missus anymore is I can have "good" pictures on my desktop without getting a skelp across the jaw and given the cold shoulder for 3 days... Wink

Here's the current one I made myself in the screenshot featuring the delicious Susan Wayland... Very Happy

I use a 24" monitor running at 1920 x 1080. I use the full screen too with no dockbars, taskbars or any other crap (everything is hidden) that hogs my much desired screen res.

What i would love to see is the ability to vote on individual posts.

You would say that wouldn't you... Mad As Hell

I've just spent the past 3 or 4 hours taking out all the HTML code for this site that allowed you to vote on individual posts & say "Thank you"... Surprised

Never seen the point in that "Thank You" thingy and the voting for individual posts just clutters up the reading of the actual posts themselves I think, so I aint putting it back now (cos I don't know how to and it sux)... Very Happy

Yep. An example of this can be seen on the dailymail online.

If i remember correctly Franko didn't you request this very feature on Amiga.org? Twisted Evil

It doesn't clutter things up in any way, it doesn't Evil or Very Mad

BTW NatAmi is not 68K based it is FPGA based. Completely different. I would consider it a new platform altogether. They are also talking of using ARM in future designs as co-processors to speed it up by several hundred mhz Need Opinions/ Ideas For New Layout... 650269930

Doubt it... and if I did I must've overdosed on me meds that day, don't like those "post vote" thingies... too messy... Puke

Muppet... Very Happy

I may be on a FPGA but that doesn't mean the user would be coding for an FPGA chip, they would still be coding in 68K which it emulates. At the end of the day it's still going to be a 68K system to the user... Wink

I think this is the wrong attitude to have. I think you should be open
to new ideas in allowing Amiga programming to evolve. That's why i like
to think of it as a new platform altogether. FPGA allows users to
potentially push the Amiga in ways it has never been considered before
in that they could start programming for the FPGA and not simply aiming
at 68K Amigas.

PS not to be annoying but FPGA doesn't actually emulate anything.

What you talking about !!!

You were the one who said the NatAmi "isn't 68k", of course it is that why it has a 68xxxK CPU nailed to it, the FPGA side of it is just emulating the rest of the Amiga Hardware/ Custom chips... Wink

So it's for all intents and purposes to the end user a 68k machine, the end user wont be programming anything for the FPGA part of it (if they programme at all) they will be programming in 68K just like they would be doing on a real Amiga... Wink

The NatAmi would be the closest thing we would ever get to a real Amiga these days and the most important part of this is the fact that it will be 68k based and not PPC or anything else... Very Happy

So far I'm drawing a blank...

I'm sure we could add some tutorials and stuff to spice it up a bit, maybe get some whores up in this place, stuff like that. You know!
