I just ordered an Micromys V3 mouse adapter. I am really sick all my all Amiga mice needing a rebuild - So I plan on using a good laser mouse.
As soon as it arrives, I will give you all an in depth review...

Be good to hear what you have to say about that particular one... Smilie

I use the Cocolino mouse adapter and wireless USB mice, it's the best one I've tried, works with every mouse I've tested on it and unlike some of those mouse adapters you get on ebay, it works without drivers and so you can use it to access the "early startup screen, both mouse buttons on reset) which most of the one on ebay can't do... Smilie

PS: Recommend you download "FreeWheel" from Aminet, it lets you use the scroll wheel and you can configure a mouse with up to 5 button with it... Smilie

I just rebuilt two tank mice. One had microswitches for the circuit, and the other one had tape holding convex metal strips to a PCB for the switches. weird.

One of the reasons I settled on this adapter, is that it will also work on the Commodore 8 bit machines. I have a C-128 on the way, and didn't feel like hunting down a 1351 in good shape.
I had a Cocolino adapter about a year ago, and it would not work with my Logitech M3 laser mouse (wired version even!).
I haven't received this adapter yet, but will let you know if it lives up to expectations.

@ motrucker

I've tested a few Logitech mice with the Cocolino and all worked perfectly but they were all wireless as I never use corded mice anymore... Smilie

Have to say of all the mice I've tested over the years the cheapest ones have proven to be the best in terms of working and the length of time they last... Smilie

Best mouse I have ever found so far is this one...

TopDigi Wireless Mouse (Amazon)...

Really responsive and accurate, the single triple A rechargeable battery it uses last 3 weeks before needing recharging but that me using it at least 12 hours per day every day and never switching it off (last nearly 8 weeks with 3 to 5 hours per days use)... Smilie

You can find it even cheaper on eBay, only thing I've found is there's a slight difference between the different coloured models (all by the same manufacturer and same model no, just a different colour) and that is the white/ silver mouse using the button on top lets you select between 3 different mouse speed setting while the grey and black ones only seem to have two settings. No idea why that is as they are the exact same model no,kinda strange but the white/sliver one is best... Smilie

It was like all Commodore stuff, just depended where it was manufactured, the ones made in the Philippines factories had the "bubble" switches and the ones made in the German/ European factories generally had microswitches... Smilie

I may try that mouse. being able to change speed on the fly is an important point for me with the games I play. That is sure a load cheaper than my favorite Logitech mouse!

It looks like the adapters have come in! Amigakit is about to dispatch mine. Let's see how long it takes to get to the colony.

The Micromys V3 adapter finally arrived (I just used the $8.00 Royal Air Mail option). I plugged this adapter into my trusty 2000HD, and it works flawlessly. It works fine with USB mice, and the one wireless I have. With the DIP switch settings set to Amiga w/wheel, it loads in the drivers for the wheel which also works flawlessly.
Then I tried it on the C-128. Again it worked flawlessly (as a 1351). This is great considering the prices 1351 mice are bringing.
This adapter costs about $3.00 more than the Cocolino, but it does a lot more. So far I have tested about a dozen mice that all worked - Logitech and some off brands, USB and PS/2 (all laser type though).
All in all I am quite happy with this little adapter - looks like I will buy another one some day, if I start using the C-128 more.
