Thought I'd start this thread as Franko is the master of Dirwork 2.1 and I'm enjoying it as much if not more than Directory Opus. Bonus - it doesn't crash like DOpus does on my A4000.

I am looking for how to config it good, or at the very least get some functionality like lha extraction and better navigation buttons, or how to move things around on the screen.

Hang on a few minutes and I'll send you my favourite config file that you can use and have a look though to get an idea of how to edit your own... Smilie

(Bit of a shock finding someone posting here)... Shocked

Yeah, but it seems the refuges of the wild Frankos are shrinking by the day! Very Happy

I would have posted at Moo, but, well, that place is good for only about one thing.

Here's the version that I recompiled from scratch and fixed a few bugs in it...

The config file is there too, you could probably just use that but I'm sure I renamed the config file and changed it's location to be stored in the S: drawer for this version. So all you should have to do is rename it and put it in L: I think it was (been so long since I used the original version of Dirwork I can't remember)...

Just use DWEdit to have a look through at how I set up things and you should quickly get the hang of how to fully configure everything to suit your own needs/ set up...

I did write a guide once explaining everything but I'll need to find it first... :-)

As long as I'm still breathing they'll always be a place to go... don't think AW.net will be hearing from me again (well not if they have any sense and up that 10 day ban to a lifetime one, cos the rule book just went out the window (again)... Wink

You had the source code to dirwork? Nice!

Sweet, Franko, thanks! Gazgod on A.org sent me the amigaguide version of the manual as well, and a config file that makes it almost a spitting image of directory opus. It is definitely a sweet tool!
