Here's the real story since poor old Tedds obviously in shock and didn't get it right...

Karlos the new self appointed internet Policeman decided to take it upon himself and wrote a wee alternative "moofilter" called "Mooclean"...

Sadly though it was a miserable failure and only took certain repeat posts out of the index page (he tried a couple of other scripts despite saying he wouldn't, wasn't bothered, yada, yada, yada)...

Now this upset some of the regular moo spammers, mainly the one who posts that "+ve" shit (what the fuck is Plus VE meant to mean !!!), the "gay" moospammer didn't seem bothered much (maybe he's locked up now) and I decided to put Karlos's new "filter" to the test (as my fighting spam with spam approach wasn't really working to be honest)...

Anywhoo... this resulted in a deluge of spam against Karlos's rubbish attempt at becoming a copper and around 3:am this morning suddenly the Amiga Moo section went down with a strange message about an "infinite loop 2035" and poor John Shepard has had to take down the Amiga side of things in order to hopefully fix things and I hope put an end to all the spamming...

Guess the moral of this story is, Don't self appoint yourself to a post you can't handle and leave things alone that don't concern you (especially when you don't even own it), otherwise the results can be disastrous as your local friendly interfering bobby Karlos has just proven...

BUT... the thing is the real spam (all the "Gay", "+ve" & "NatAmi" shit) is sadly done by others and as they proven, even Karlos's "Mooclean" was no match for them, in fact it only encouraged the loony who posted over 300 posts in Karlos's thread that kinda buggered up the whole Amiga section...

So even if CAPTCHA is introduced (which I hope it will be) it sadly wont stop the spam I doubt, there should be less but I doubt it will stop all the "Gay" & idiotic "+ve" shit...

Time will tell and we will all find out when Moo is back up and running (still say making it members only would be the best way to go)...

Nothing alleged about it, I made it clear it was my intention to spam the spammers as just like everybody else including yourself I too was a bit fed up with it...

It did push the spam way down the index, even you know that, but yes I have already said it maybe wasn't the best of ideas...

No one else was even trying to do anything about the spam except whine about it as usual, then up you popped out of the blue with your "mooclean", which while it got rid of some of the repetitive spam for a few minutes, it still left tons of the other "gay" & "+ve" shit behind...

As for the "affront" BS in your head, well that's all it is (like most things with you, (all in your own overblown ego & mind), so Sherlock old chum, your attempt failed and failed miserably as the numpty who posted over 300 posts proved and now thanks to you and your self appointed role at playing internet Policeman, you've fucked the whole thing up for the time being...
