This may be a little off topic as I didn't play this one, but ALWAYS wanted to...

Rocket Ranger from CinemaWare. Their games in general always looked cool to me.

Check out this video of the play through.

I don't have a working Amiga right now, but once I get my A4000T up and running, I can't wait to beat Lion Heart.

It is on the top of my list of games to beat just for the sheer love of the game. I love the graphic and artistic style and the game play reminds me of another favorite, Leander! Smilie

I guess I'm just a sucker for sword-wielding side-scrolling heroes. Wink

Another game I think is just awesome but never beat was Perihelion. Really great game that came with ZERO documentation. I was so jazzed by it that I made my own index cards for the "spells" and types of attacks so I knew what I was doing... Truth is, I never beat the first fight. Sad

Hard to describe really ... you are in control of a little guy in some sort of rubber dingy out in the middle of the ocean, trying to find lost treasures but are attacked by all sorts of weird blobby things that are out to burst your dinghy and kill you !!!

It's a strange but very playable game with some very neat animated characters and trying to find these "lost treasures" is what keeps you going but it get pretty hectic after the third level... Smilie

Might have to make a wee video of it to show you how neat it is... Smilie

Just found a video of the Atari ST version, looks identicle except the sound sounds kinda rough on this one... Smilie

Actually The Faery Tale Adventure was pretty naff now that I think about it... Surprised

I mean it was pretty jerky one minute then too slow or too fast the next, not too mention the poxy pauses when it had to load the next part of the map from the disk, or getting stuck at the edge of a river or the sea and not being able to get out or even move again... Mad As Hell

Still despite these one or two wee flaws, it's still one of the best RPG style games ever made for the auld miggie and it passes a few days if you decide to wander over every bit of land (without the swan) just in case you missed something... Smilie

Never did find out what you were supposed to do in "The Mysterious Pixie Grove" up to the northwest... confused though I'm pretty sure I spotted wee fat Albert the squirrel toddling about there once... but me meds were pretty strong that day... Afro

I never made it all the way through either... Been a long time, prolly longer for you I bet, you had the good fortune of owning an Amiga prior to the early 90's, the dark times, the rise of the Microsoftian (hey cool! iPod accepts that as a real word!!!) Empire.

I remember the controls blowing much ass, but other than that, I didn't write it off as a total failure, it did have it's redeeming qualities too. Besides, it got ported to the NES, and even had a sequel! They must of done something right.

Btw, did you know that Lord British just got back from space on a Russian space shuttle?!?

First played it in 87 I think it was, it was one of the very first games I ever bought for the miggie... Smilie

The mouse controls were a wee bit of a pain in the arse but the sheer scale of the landscape and the night and day feature made it pretty damn amazing at the time... Very Happy

Dunno about Lord British... but my Grannie was a cosmonaut and was last seen near the planet Galifrey hurling abuse at Dr Who on a visit to Slartibartfast, whom had 3 white mice up for sale & a bit of Norwegian Coastline... Smilie

Well, they never ported Potty Pigeon over to the Amiga - or I would have included that...
It most likely the only reason I have an 8 bit system....
