Right, we all loved the original Alien Breed series right?

Well have any of you played the new Trilogy? I have bought the disc copy for Xbox360, but it is also available for PC and from PSN and XboxLive.

Is it any good? - To be honest FUCK YEAH! Come on, it takes the idea and totally modernises the series. Many gamer magazines and reviewers have called it crap and repetitive. I personally think this game is what it always was.

No surprise here... but I just don't like these "modern" games with their "3D perspective" look...

Still I suppose it's not as bad as it could have been if they had turned it into yet another "first person perspective" (Doom) style game as they really are the worst... gimme good old fashioned flat 2D and pixelised gfx with decent gameplay anyday...

That's what I like. Team17 could have gone, "Right we are going to remake Alien Breed - so lets do Duke Nukem VS COD!" But they haven't! Yes the made it up to date but kept it an overhead ish shooter, it isn't overly taxing either, gun + alien = bullets and alien blood!

What would be really good is if Team17 actually made a new game for the Amiga in their "spare time" so to speak as a kind of thank you to the Amiga users who made them as a business...

After all if it hadn't been for the Amiga there never would have been a "Team17"...

I agree, I went to their website and it is all about Worms, Worms, Worms & Alien Breed.......I nearly hit the Contact button and asked them, in fact remind me tomorrow and I will! Lord Cobb and Amiga users world wide request you make some new Amiga games! OR ELSE!

Remind them they are not too old to go across my knee!

I think I'll write them too...

I'll tell em' they need to make an Alien Breed 3D III for Franko.

It doesn't look too bad. I hope an ipad version comes out (no Xbox 360 here).

I think the monsters, at least judging from that video, do not look as scary as the classic ones from the Amiga originals.

After a couple in low lighting with the backing tracking going and then they jump out at you, you will think them more scary than the original(s)!
Maybe not so much on the iPad cos the screen is too small, and it isn't wired into my surround sound.

Trust me - I'm loving this remake, and normally I hate anything remade.......esp if someone on some crappy X Factor tries and covers a classic like NIN's Hurt! or All Saints murdering Under The Bridge!
