B.ack to that Mini again.

God damnit. I just plucked up the courage to take the thermostat housing
off the engine in Rosie's Mini, everything in that engine bay is rusted
to buggery and I was worried the bolts were siezed and would shear, and
found that the housing is full of gunge. Blown cylinder head gasket or
cracked block or head. Hopefully it's just the gasket as I can replace
that. Compression tests ahoy!

All this started out with me reading "removing a rear subframe is often discussed in hushed tones in bars but is esentially no more than the removal of 8 bolts and some additional dismantling." This is where I learned to expect rusty bolts to shear. Whoever wrote that deserves a kick in the ghoulies for a start and now that I've replaced the rear subframe and about 90% of the components that are attached to it I find that the head gasket is gone. I'm going to have to strip and rebuild that engine.

Erm... the only thing I find amazing about that are the loony tunes in the "audience" cheering & clapping like they're one of those drug induced audiences on something like "Britians Got No Talent"...

Reality TV and crap talent shows have got a lot to answer for about the sorry state of some sections of society today, gawd... what next... a show where it's one audience against another audience to see who can clap & cheer the loudest in the frenziest manner possibel...

PS: People cheering & clapping like performing seals on crack while looking like glaikit 3 year olds is a wee bugbear of mine...

It wasn't that the demo was "un-amazing" (it wasn't too bad to be honest) it's the freeking brain dead these days who whoop, clap & cheer at everything they see or hear that gets right on my tits...

It seems to stem from all those crap non-talent shows that infest out TV channels these days (Britain's got this or Britain's got that... should be Britain's got Nowt For Brains) where even when someone on stage scratches their arse the audience whoop and cheer like a bunch of Hyenas with rabies high on crack...

I don't watch them but sadly sometimes changing channels I unfortunately catch a glimpse of them and before I can get away I've had to lob a brick at the telly...

Dunno what the feck is wrong with people in this country these days but one things for sure the IQ level must've dropped to below that of your average McDonalds employee...
