Bounties... never heard of them until I finally went on the net a couple of years ago... Neutral

Till then the only Bounties I knew about were these kind... Smilie

Bounties In Amigland... A Strange Concept... Bounty%20bar-2

Now maybe it's just me but I honestly don't see the point in them and actually see them as somewhat of a con myself... Neutral

I mean what is this money that people donate used for !!!

It cost nothing to sit down and write a program for the Amiga so just why is this money needed and what is it really used for !!!

It's not like making a decent quality film/ movie or documentary like VIVA AMIGA for example. That requires equipment, material costs etc... so something like that I don't mind giving money too... Smilie

But writing software for your Amiga requires nothing but your time (however much you choose to dedicate to it), so why do people always pop up in Amigaland asking for folk to donate to these "bounties" and some folk atually seem quite happy to give their money to them... confused

Seems pretty odd to me, like I say when it doesn't actually cost anything to sit down and write some code... Rolling Eyes

Maybe I'm just a wee bit sceptical about this subject but honestly I think this whole "Bounties" concept is pretty pointless and basically giving your hard earned cash to others for something they could have done simply for the fact they enjoyed coding... Wink

Nice idea... Smilie

I'll volunteer to be the suicide bomber & wee fat Albert the talking squirrel can be the getaway driver... :-)

I hear being a suicide bomber is a good line of work to be in, you only have to work one day then you retire and the health insurance benefits are good too... Cool

Only trouble is we'll need a wee row boat to get me across the atlantic, as I'm not allowed on aeroplanes... Surprised
