A Wee Bit Chatty
OK as no peeps either from EAB or AmiBay have tried this speedup-package (NONE have reported anyway) I may as well represent it here to you all crazy dudes & dudettes (doubt there are many ...)

As some of you already may know PPC-Warp3D games such as Heretic 2, Quake 2 and Wipeout 2097 run faster when "in-a-window" than on "full screen" setup. But there are annoyances. Just try playing Quake 2 in window-mode - the pointer is always distracting and if the pointer happens to travel up to the window title or outside the window and you press a mouse button, in-game focus is lost. Or Wipeout 2097 - it's nice and fast in a window but you'd want it to be both fast AND fill the screen at the same time. Not to worry, for now we have a solution for this ! (at least it works for me)
This package assumes you want to use a 640x480 resolution (or 800x600) to play the mentioned games in window-mode and have a Mediator equipped Amiga with Voodoo 3. Tested only with OS 3.9 without any GUI decorations like Afa_OS/VisualPrefs. You have to test if this works on your system! It could/should also work with G-Rex/BVision. But here we go...
Download the attached "FullWin.lha" package, unpack it, RTFM (ReadMe.txt) and copy contents as per directory structure (except for game-scripts -> copy them to game's own directory!), then reboot. Now just run a script to see if it works right away or test the provided screenmode prefs-files (copied to Prefs/Env-Archive/Sys). So open screenmode prefs and load a screenmode-prefs file included in the archive. If they don't work just create the screenmode prefs-files yourself with the screenmode prefs program and rename accordingly (2 X 640x480 & 2 X 800x600)
There are predefined scripts included for Freespace, Heretic 2, Quake (BlitzQuake/GLQuakeWOS), Quake 2 and Wipeout 2097.
Set a game to run in window-mode in game-prefs (excluding Quake - edit script), "leave-out" the desired game-icon, close all open drawers, clicketi click on the game icon- and hey presto! Game running faster in window-mode but no stupid borders and irritating mouse pointer (from WB) anywhere - and fills the screen just like fullscreen mode (Wipeout 2097 leaves small area on the bottom). One downside to this is that you have to reboot after your gaming session (intuition won't change screemode anymore). A price one has to pay unfortunately.
Please try and tell if it works for you. --> PPC-Warp3D speed boost!
